Vladimir Gorsky was born in Moscow in 1953. He immigrated to the United States in 1987 and continued his career as a professional artist. His art including traditional oil portraits and other paintings graces the walls of Heads of State, Private Collectors and Art Galleries around the world.
Besides his traditional Portraits his special projects includes a series “ From Depth Of Ages” depicting historical art work from the stone tablets to the Mona Lisa. The most spectacular of his masterpieces is his painting “Tapestry of the Centuries” depicting 2,000 years of world history. The original canvas measuring 9’ x 18’ took 3 years to paint and comprises 350 people and events that shaped the history of the world. This painting has achieved International acclaim.
Other projects include a painting of all American Presidents for President’s Park in South Dakota and Virginia and a historical painting of Las Vegas, 7.5’ x 12.5’ called “Miracle in the Desert”. Vladimir Gorsky’s newest collection of Pop Art capturing the essence of musicians, Hollywood idols and world famous icons was introduced at the New York Artexpo in February, 2004.
